1. How to Play
Each round gives players a letter and 5 categories.
The goal is simple: enter one valid answer for each category before the timer runs out.
Every answer must:
- start with the round's letter, and
- correctly match the category.
Players have 60 seconds to complete their answers.
When time runs out, submitted answers are checked automatically and the score is calculated.
2. Answers & Scoring
Each valid answer is worth 1 point.
In Ranked, all valid answers are worth the same. Speed does not affect your score, submitting early gives no bonus, and matching your opponent's answer does not cancel the point.
An answer is valid when it:
- starts with the correct letter,
- belongs to the category shown, and
- is recognized as an accepted answer by the game.
If an answer is rejected, the reason is shown.
If a player believes a rejected answer should be accepted, they can suggest it for review.
The suggestion will be reviewed and may be added to the game's accepted answers.
3. Ways to Play
3.1 Solo
Play instantly without an opponent.
A Solo game consists of 1 round.
No account is required, and players can play as often as they like.
Solo results do not affect Ranked Rating, Rank, the Ranked Leaderboard or Daily Streak.
3.2 Friend Rooms
Play private matches with invited players.
A player creates a private room and shares the invitation link with up to 3 friends (4 players total, including the host).
The host starts the match when everyone is ready.
Letter, categories and time limit are common for all players.
The player with the most points wins the match. If two or more players finish with the same highest score, the match ends in a Draw.
Friend Room results do not affect Ranked Rating, Rank, the Ranked Leaderboard or Daily Streak.
3.3 Ranked Matches
Compete head-to-head and climb the rankings.
Ranked matches are 1 vs 1 and consist of 2 rounds.
The scores from both rounds are added together. The player with the higher total score wins the match.
If the score is tied after two rounds, a Tiebreaker Round is played. If the score remains tied after the tiebreaker, the match ends in a Draw.
Finding an Opponent
When a player enters Ranked, the game searches for an available opponent with a similar Rating.
If no close match is available, the search gradually expands to a wider Rating range.
When possible, the game avoids matching the same opponents repeatedly.
Ranked results affect a player's Rating and position on the Leaderboard.
3.4 Daily Challenge
A new Daily Challenge is available every day.
All players receive the same letter and 5 categories and have 60 seconds to complete the challenge.
Each player has one attempt per day. Once the timer starts, the attempt is active and cannot be restarted.
Completing the Daily Challenge on consecutive days increases a player's Daily Streak. Missing a day resets the current streak.
Daily Challenge results do not affect Ranked Rating, Rank or the Ranked Leaderboard.
4. Rating & Ranks
Rating reflects a player's performance in Ranked matches.
The game uses an Elo-based Rating system. After each Ranked match, players' Rating changes according to the result and the Ratings of both players before the match.
Beating a higher-rated opponent generally earns a player more Rating. Losing to a lower-rated opponent generally costs more. A Draw can also change Rating if the two players have different Ratings.
Placement Matches
A player starts with a Rating of 1000, and the first 5 Ranked matches are Placement Matches.
Rating changes normally during all 5 Placement Matches, but Rank remains hidden until the fifth match is complete.
The player's first Rank is then assigned based on their Rating.
Rank Protection
Rank Protection provides a small buffer below each promotion threshold before a player is demoted. This prevents a player's Rank from repeatedly moving up and down when their Rating is close to a Rank boundary.
| Rank | Promotion | Demotion |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | — | — |
| Silver | 1150 | below 1125 |
| Gold | 1325 | below 1295 |
| Platinum | 1525 | below 1490 |
| Diamond | 1750 | below 1710 |
| Master | 2000 | below 1950 |
Promotion or demotion happens immediately after a Ranked match when the relevant threshold is crossed.
Repeat Opponents
Only the first 3 Ranked matches between the same opponents within any 24-hour period affect Rating.
5. Leaderboards
5.1 Ranked Leaderboard
The Ranked Leaderboard ranks players according to their Ranked Rating.
5.2 Daily Leaderboard
The Daily Leaderboard ranks players according to their Daily Challenge results and resets with each new Daily Challenge.
A player's position is determined first by score and then, for players with the same score, by completion time.
6. Accounts & Guest Play
Solo and Friend Rooms can be played without an account. Ranked Matches and the Daily Challenge require an account.
Guest games are linked only to the browser in which they are played and are not transferred if an account is created later.
An account is required for a player's progress and match history to be saved and available across devices.
